Development of a Portable Drinking Water Filter

The team from the National Institute of Science, Technology, and Innovation (NISTI), in collaboration with researchers from the Water Innovation Lab and students from International University, have been developing a prototype for a "Portable Drinking Water Filter".

The objective of this study is to develop a drinking water filter capable of removing microorganisms, chemicals, and heavy metals using local raw materials (sand and charcoal) to provide safe drinking water in remote and high-risk areas.

This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to applying science and technology to solve real-challenges.
