Strengthening STI Collaboration for MSMEs Development in Cambodia

On 18 May 2026, the National Institute of Science, Technology and Innovation (NISTI) held a discussion meeting with representatives from Kenan Foundation Asia and the ASEAN Foundation regarding the progress of the AIM ASEAN project (AI for MSMEs Advancement in ASEAN) in Cambodia.

The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration and advancing digital capacity development for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Cambodia through the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and innovation.

During the discussion, all parties reviewed the progress of the project, highlighting the successful implementation of the first online training session and providing updates on the preparation for the upcoming onsite training program. The participants also exchanged perspectives, feedback, and key observations gathered from stakeholder consultations to further enhance the effectiveness of project implementation in Cambodia.

The meeting reflected the strong collaboration between national and regional partners in promoting innovation, digital transformation, and inclusive economic development in Cambodia through AI and emerging technologies.
